5 Dinner Ideas: It’s a Wrap

Food wrapped in more food? Sounds like a dream to me. While we skip bacon-wrapped everything, there’s more to wrapping than meets the eye. There’s the classic tortilla vessel (flour or corn — which team are you on?) or the alternative lettuce wrap. Enter rice wraps or even potato wraps — starch for the win! Here are 5 dinner ideas to wrap your head around.

Southwestern Chicken Wraps
A super-simple wrap that can even pull in last night’s leftover chicken. Try experimenting with different condiments (add a dash of BBQ sauce!).

Veggie Summer Rolls with Spicy Peanut Lime Sauce
Oh She Glows continues to provide a lot of meal inspiration and I love digging through her archives to find some hidden treats. Try using romaine hearts to hold the deliciousness.

Black Bean Quesadillas
Leftover tortilla wraps? This is one of my favourites from Michael Smith’s Fast Flavours cookbook. They come together in a cinch and I usually just brown them in a frying pan (unless I’m doing a big batch, then the oven it is!).

Chicken Sausage Lettuce Wraps (pictured above, © Bon Appetit)
I’m pretty picky about the quality of my chicken sausages so I usually head to a butcher or speciality store when they’re on the week’s meal plan. I love the texture of these wraps — juicy patties, crisp lettuce, mmm!

Potato-Wrapped Halibut
I’m still trying to eat more fish and this caught my eye as something that’s a little bit different. What do you think?

What are we wrapping this week? Follow along with #BabiaksEat.
